Terry Foley is a composer-lyricist and multi-instrumentalist based in New York City.

He writes and performs across a wide range of musical spaces, with a special focus on musical theater. As a writer, his credits include Redacted, XMAS!18, ValentinesX, and Explaining Elizabeth. As a music director, he has led productions such as Footloose and Lemon Water, arranged orchestral scores for The 129th and 130th Annual Varsity Shows and XMAS!17, and played in pit bands for In The Heights, Head Over Heels, Matilda, Urinetown, Rent, and more.

Outside of theater, Terry composes and performs original music with bands and ensembles of all kinds. He has toured across the U.S. with over twenty different groups, writing music for everything from rock bands to chamber ensembles.

He also offers a wide range of music services, including composing, arranging, orchestration, transcription, piano accompaniment tracks, and audition prep/coaching. Whether it’s a one-off track or a full score, he brings a collaborative spirit and musical versatility to every project.

As a performer with over 20 years of experience, Terry works professionally on piano, guitar, bass, drums, and saxophone. He also freelances as a composer for film, television, games, podcasts, and dance.
